    Oooh. Prince reuniting with The Revolution's Wendy & Lisa on his forthcoming album "Planet Earth"

    [image=http://www.prince.org:81/img/1c612e3008.jpg]

    Here's some old Prince + the Revolution: Girls & Boys

    // Swoon. //

    3121 was OK, though I enjoyed Musicology better. I hope he rocks out a little more this time around.

    PCC Edit: Unlocked per request

    =P~

    I love Rock Prince, but Funk Prince is really my 'thing'. I'll be very interested to see if he throws in some cheesy ballads. Those are amusing to listen to, if you don't get caught up in the technical side of his music :p

    Yeah. Funk Prince or Rock Prince. Prince with balls.

    I like Beautiful Girl and 7 and even Holy River (mostly for the solo), but when he funks or rocks out (on record) these days it's like a rare little treat. I know he still pulls out all stops live.

    Classic Prince is the best. Purple Rain is a Top Five Album of all time.

    It is, and the title track in particular, but I think I prefer 1999 and Sign O The Times as albums over Purple Rain. Maybe even lovesexy.

    1999 is awesome, and I have it on my Itunes. I think the Prince's Greatest Hits CD is one of the best right up there with Queen and The Beatles.

    Just checking my Prince iTunes playlist (I even edited the annoying one-track lovesexy album into individual tracks before encoding it) - heh! 291 Prince songs, 22.2 hours!

    Only 1.8 hours to go and I can play the purple guy for a full day non stop. :p

    I don't have that album, was never a big fan of Batdance or Partyman (the only tracks I can recall offhand).

    he's playing 21 shows in London later this year. my housemate has 2 tickets, and if his relationship with his gf remains on-off, then i will most likely attend. i don't have any of his albums, but he is a pretty cool dude.

    You need to ensure they remain broken up so you can secure that ticket.

    I saw him live in 1998 at Mountain View near San Francisco. Best concert of my life (and I've been to a few), and not just because Carlos Santana showed up and jammed with him on his Soul Sacrifice.

    The London gigs are in the round again - like the LoveSexy tour was.

    And that was UTTERLY amazing.

    The man is a legend.

    When I was 14, I had so many Prince posters it was essentially wallpaper.

    Funny "Prince Memory" story: A friend of mine was a total metal freak, and his jaw dropped in utter amazement at the intro to Temptation off of Around the World in a Day.

    'Darling Nikki' is one of those songs that have remained in heavy rotation on my tape deck/CD player since its release.

    I love me some Prince.

    Totally agree. The Batman soundtrack gets slammed but Electric Chair and especially The Future are some of Prince's best tracks IMO.

    The late 70's early 80's era of Prince has me interested at this point, so I've been going back and getting his early albums.

    I've been trying to find some of the long/12inch/dance remix versions of his songs in mp3 form because I have them only on vinyl. I was able to get the long version of Little Red Corvette which is my favorite of all his tracks, along with Raspberry Beret. Unfortunately it's mono and I'm still looking for the stereo version. But it still rocks balls and all.

    Certainly glad to hear he'll be getting together with Wendy & Lisa again!

    Me 2! Well, not since it was released, cause I was like 2 or 3 when it was released bu Purple Rain has been one of my favorite albums since I was pretty young. Reuniting with Wendy and Lisa is awesome! :)

    I wonder if they can get the Time to open for their shows, now that would be a coolbeans concert.
