CT Do you get insulted if people don`t like the Star Wars movies?

It is a bit like someone loudly declaring thst they don't like dogs.

It's a moment when I understand, okay, you're missing a bit of your soul.

 

No. People are free to like or deslike things.

 

Not necessarily, because I hated it until I actually took the time to watch it and get interested. I would obviously do everything I can to make them realize they're missing out, but, yeah, people can like what they like. I mean, I hope people aren't offended when I say I don't like ESB, it's just my opinion.

 

What does disliking dogs have to do with anything? Is not everybody entitled to like or dislike whatever they want? Who are you to judge them? And what the hell does that have to do with your "soul"? I don't particularly like dogs in general. So what? I have no soul? What gives you the right to make such judgments?
And no, I don't get insulted if someone doesn't like SW. The idea is absurd. Just be tolerant and accept the fact that people like different things, that includes animals

My point is it's irrelevant whether I like dogs or not. Nobody should be judged based on which animal they like. As I said, I don't have a great love for dogs as a species, not counting individual exceptions. FYI, all three of my children, biological as well as adopted, have been bitten by dogs at a young age, one of them had her growth stunted due to anti-rabies medication. So no, I don't particularly like animals that are a threat to my family, period.
But back to Star Wars now...

 

No, I rather find it somewhat confusing that the other parents in school lament that they have to read their children Star Wars stories every night for bedtime (I envy them) while my own prefer Ninjago stories.

I guess adolescent rebellion starts much earlier than usually assumed.

I don't like dogs....


I don't particularly hate them...I actually do have one (mainly cos of my kids), but not everyone in the world is a dog lover-and if they're not, that's not something to be shocked at as if it's this horrific thing...

 

No not all, I'm not a fan of some popular franchises either, like the MCU. My dad saw the OT in theaters when they released and didn't like them at all nor does he understand the hype at all for them, and teases me for it but it's all in good fun.

 

No why feel insulted by other peoples distates.

 

Eh, what do you mean "don't like them"? I really don't understand the question.

When introducing someone to Star Wars for the first time (I'm not quite sure how they haven't seen it previously, perhaps living under a rock or similar), you simply gesture with your hand and say "this is the franchise you're looking for, you'll like it". Simple!

 

I get insulted and enraged beyond human comprehension when people don't like the Star Wars movies.

 

As long as they're not insulted when I say they have bad taste

I ignore their insults. Lol. I figure they really must have dull lives if they don't like Star Wars.

 

If they’ve seen the movies and didn’t like them, fine. If they haven’t seen the movies, that’s not fine imo.

No. There is plenty of entertainment, fan stuff I do not like, so I understand.

I ignore the haters. If they don't like the CT films, then they have no life, I believe.

 

If people don't like Star Wars, that's their opinion that they're entitled to have, and no, I'm not insulted. What makes me mad is when people take out their hate of a character on the actor, or of a movie on the director.
