No, I neither need nor want one. I don't have any use for one.

Well, I don't have one myself, so I could try to answer (although I can't speak for everyone). It boils down to the fact that not everyone has a use for one; or they don't like iPods and prefer another brand or mp3 player.

I'd like to change my vote. Earlier I voted that 'I have a 3rd Generation IPOD'. Now I'd like to vote 'I have a 3rd Generation IPOD that is broken beyond repair.'

I did have a silver iPod Nano 4 GB, but it was stolen.

 

No iPod here. I am surprised, as I expected to be very much in the minority. I'm pretty sure everybody I know has one.

I've got an old, broken, generic-brand mp3 player that my friend almost threw out.

I have a 5th Generation ipod Video.

 

I have a 5th generation classic -- 60 GB. Anything smaller and I wouldn't be able to fit on the operas, symphonies, sonatas and various other classical and soundtrack orchestral music that I need in a portable music library.

 

Update:I recently gotten a 6th Gen iPod Classic 80GB in Silver.

Nope, the battery died. In better news, I also recently got the iPod Touch 16GB version.

 

I wonder how many "no! never!" people early in this thread have one now.

Also, "no", but that's mainly due to my ignorance of music and inability to listen to music in headphones anymore (sinus problems).

 

We're old/nerds. Which either means we don't have one like all the high school kids now because it wasn't popular when we were that age (or available), or we like to be hip and go with the alternative mp3 methods.

Personally I have a 4th gen 20GB. Not to be hip or cool, because really they weren't that popular in 2004. But because, you know, I love music. And I like being able to listen to it a lot.
