No. It was 2015. EDIT -- Everything was based on the year 1985. Marty lived in 1985...went back 30 years to 1955, then forward 30 back to 1985. Then they went forward 30 years to 2015. Biff got the Almanac and went back 60 years to 1955, then back to 2015. Marty then went back 30 years to "Hell Valley" 1985. Went back another 30 years to 1955 and stole the Almanac back from Biff. Then went back 70 years to 1885 (100 years from 1985) to stop Buford from killing Doc Brown over a matter of $80. (which, adjusted for inflation, would be $958.56 in 1985) EDIT 2 -- Which means that Buford Tannen, who claimed to have spent "$5 for the horse and $75 for the whiskey" was either an idiot with money, or that whiskey was in a diamond-encrusted bottle with gold leaf. Adjusted for inflation, that $75 for the whiskey would have cost $898.65 in 1985....or $1887.25 in 2012.
Jesus Christ, it's not that hard to remember that he travels to 2015 (30 years after 1985 and 60 after 1955). Why are so many people on the internet fooled by this crap every year in the 2010's?
I don't remember the date no matter how many times I've see the movie*, but it was definitely 2015. * FWIW, part 2 is my least favorite, but I've still seen it multiple times.
We're all going to be remember how niiiice/calm this time period was, because once 2015 actually arrives, all of the BTTF memes & jokes, etc, will be too much to bear.
I thought this was going to be a thread about what a lovely Wednesday it is today. Instead it's a bad shoop.
