Indi, IN Do you like Golden Corral? Do you like Dressing in Costume?

I knew you did.

If you answered yes to both of these questions, do I have a deal for you! I got a call today from a local marketing director for Golden Corral. It seems every Tuesday night they have a Kids Night and they've been asking costumed people or other entertainers to come in for the kid's enjoyment, and now she has asked for Star Wars costumers from the Indy Knights. In exchange for coming out there, everyone will get a pass to go to the Golden Corral to eat for a month. Yeah, I said a month.

They would like to do something this month, for obvious reasons. The Golden Corral she would like to focus on is the Greenwood location.

This is just a heads up to everyone. I totally do not expect anyone to think about it this week. We are all waaay too busy. But please email me or post here if you are interested. In order to participate, you must let me know. Please also let me know for which of the following dates you are available and what costume you plan to wear:
May 7
May 14
May 21
May 28

The Kids Night times are 5:00-9:00 p.m., but she said we did not have to be there the whold time. This week they have someone dressed as Spiderman.

 

Oh sure...what the hell. I didn't want to diet anyhow.

I have lost 7 lbs so far though. Only 33 more to go.

OK....I can understand the fun of dressing up for Celebration and Art of the Starfighter and even the midnight toy run.... but Golden Corral? Isn't that getting dangerously close to a realm of geekdom here-to-fore known only to trekkies? Be mindful. Your focus determines your reality.

 

Synth, while that may be true, we ARE talking free food here ... I just recieved an email & my jedi costume should be here in time so I would be interested.

I remember when people dressed up for Return of the Jedi. I was 8 but didn't know what was going on. Kinda like a deer in headlights I'm sure. It was pretty cool. haha.

 

Update:

The date we are pushing for is May 28th. And just as a little bit of information, Golden Corral brought free food for the people in the line on Tuesday, and we are getting a month pass for our work for a few hours. The following are people listed in this thread or emailed me who were interested. If you can't make it that evening, please let me know & if anyone else wants to do it too, please let me know this weekend.
