Do you like it when JCers call you by your RL (first)name?

I'm fine with it. If I didn't want people to refer to me as Chris if they wanted to, I wouldn't put the info in my profile.

I don't mind at all. I agree with Everton by saying that if I didn't want people to call me Nate I wouldn't put the info in my profile


I can understand why people would find it intrusive or annoying however

I like it, I think it means I getting to know people here.

It's weird being called it by people who have never met me IRL. I kind of identify more with the name r_w than Kenny these days after being called it for 2 years.

I rarely call e-friends by their real names. Partially because both of my best friends on here are named Ryan.

That nickname suits you. More people should call you that instead of cobra.

 

Very few people actually call me by my RL name on the JC, but when they do, I don't mind it at all. It kind of makes me feel at home.

Nobody really knows my real name, but if they did I wouldn't care. I put that under other.

 

Yes. I don't like the SN darth_paul anymore and am largely still using it because I like the fact that it has history. As my name is found within my screen name, being called by my name is great.

Other - I don't care. If it was a big secret, I would actually try to hide it, but at the same time if I really wanted that to be my handle, I'd have picked my name as my username. So either way is fine.

 

Don't really care either way. It's weird when people who aren't from my Fanforce call me by my real name, though.

It creeps me out a bit on the rare occasion someone actually refers to me by my real name.

No one knows my real name here, so that's not an issue. But I hate it when people refer to others by their real name (Hello Rhonda!), it's like an inside joke or something.

 

I don't think anyone here knows my real name. If they did, I doubt I'd care either way.
