Do you like it when JCers call you by your RL (first)name?

Doesn't really matter to me. But people don't usually call me by my full name. They usually call me Britt if they do call me by my name.... or other times people know me by "Spacey"

 

No one ever does, so it doesn't matter. It's funny, cause my closer online friends don't call me by my name, but they don't exactly call me by my screenname either.

 

For some reason, it impresses me.

 

It hasn't happened before, but It wouldn't matter if it did, since my name is in my profile.

 

Nobody here knows my real name. Not that anyone else than my relatives really use it in real life either... I have a very common first name - usually lots of us around wherever I am - and uncommon last name so most people I know call me by my last name and I frankly feel odd if someone else than my relatives call me by my first name.

 

Yes. Otherwise I'd forget my name. Ever find that your name seems foreign to you? Yeah, this is a clear indication that you have no friends.

Sure, it doesn't bother me, though not everyone knows my RL first name.

 

I like when they're all like, "Oh, Stephen, you are so damn cool and I want to have your babies so they will all be geniuses like you."

I like it a little less when they're all like, "Stephen, you ****** idiot, what the hell kind of fool are you? Die plz."



Seriously, I tend to not really call people by their names a lot even in real life; I mean, I'm talking to you and you know that, right? On the Internet it's a bit more important since in chat or threads you want it to be clear who you're reponding too.

 

I don't mind, and sometimes I encourage it. It kinda gives a personal feel (and people misspell NYCitygurl a lot, so Natalie/Nat is often easier).

 

Depends on the pople but generally I am not keen on being called by my name.

 

You do, you are one of about 5 people here that know my name. It would have been more accurate if I had said that not many people know my name, rather than nobody knowing it.

 

Yeah I don't mind it... I kinda prefer it with the people I know around here. It a futile effort though, because even when they do know it they'd rather call me Butt instead.

I don't mind it if I know who the person is. I've become more adapted to it recently, too. My current icon shares the identical name as me except for one silent letter. Calling me Tyi, however, suits me perfectly as well. I use Tyi a lot, so it's like a second name when it comes to writing.

Don't care. Call me either. It does seem a tad odd though when people post and call me by my real name. I'm not used to that.

 

no-one knows it on here. But it wouldnt really bother me.

People on other forums know my name but they still choose to call me by my username, usually puggsy.

My name is in my screen name, so it would be my own fault they call me Yvette.
