Do you like the title "Revenge of the Sith"?

Ever since Episode I, I always thought it should have been this title. Very cool that G.L. is finally putting things into perspective. Let's just hope that most of the dialogue reflects what this vengeance entails and fills in the holes of why they were never known to exist after their fall.

Revenge of the Sith. Perfect. I'm sure most of the fans would agree with me.

 

dont like it- i voted no... but its not the end of the world it will prolly grow on me...

 

Anybody remember how TPM or AotC fared (in terms of SA polls)?

TPM was probably around 35% positive - 65% negative, and AOTC, well that was probably about 5% positive - 95% negative at the time.

Without a doubt. How could someone dislike the best title in the Saga? Seriously?


I love it because it fits the storyline and events perfectly....and because I remember bein' five/six years-old when the "Revenge of the Jedi" stuff was released. I had a school jacket when I was in kindergarten...and it had a patch of Yoda that said "Revenge of the Jedi" on it on my sleeve. It was from the Official Fan Club. Good times. Gotta love the nostalgia tied into this title. Awesome.

 

I voted a resounding YES.
By far the best title of the PT (and maybe the whole saga).

 

I like it.

And every time I see it in print or hear it mentioned in the news, I like it just a wee bit more.

Just be careful how you type it. I suspect lots of problems with the word S-I-T-H. I before H, got it?

Wow - those were the TPM/AOTC results??? This is the best recieved PT title to date!

 

So much for whoever reported that the title had circle in it.

 

The letter "o" in the word "of" forms a circle. This is obviously what they were talking about.

ROTS & ROTJ are the 2 best titles of the entire franchise. I'm going to give a slight edge to ROTS for the best title because we've all been waiting nearly 30 years to see EIII!!!!!!!!!!

 

i don't like it.

i was hoping for something a little more from left field so to speak.

i'll get used to it, but i think it's predictable and not very interesting.

i hate the abreviation ROTS and of course if you're makin fun of it just switch a few letters in the last word and it makes fun of the film for you.

i don't like the title, but it could have been alot worse.

 

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite! It is the most unconventional and interesting title for a film!

 

I like it and I like the logo with the vintage ROTJ look but I also think they could have though of something a little more original.

The feeling of knowing and seeing it printed like that is cool though.

It reminds me of the AOTC logo on the back of this card with TESB style.

I'm not used to typing ROTS yet, but it will come second nature soon enough. I'm glad the Sith aren't called the Hith because then it would be SW EP III: ROTH.

Yes. Best title of the prequel trilogy. Although I think The Empire Strikes Back is the best SW title ever. I like how ROTS is a reference to ROTJ:

1) Both films end their respective trilogies.

2) ROTJ was almost titled Revenge of the Jedi

3) They parallel each other because both end with either the name of the good Jedi or the name of the evil Jedi. The Sith are seeking revenge, something Lucas said wasn't a Jedi concept, the reason the third movie's title was changed.

 

I always knew this was going to be the title! I love it! GL made the right decision!
