If a subject is taboo, that means we're not talking about it enough. So, yes, I do laugh at taboo subjects once in a while, and I think people should start taking a more relaxed approach towards the subject so we can start talking about it constructively. Besides, we take stuff far too seriously.
Depends on the context.
Nothing is taboo if you're with the right people.
Well, there's that. You need to consider the audience.
Depends on the joke, depends on who's telling it, and depends on the audience.
This is proof that we self-edit, I think.
I'm glad to see the thread got made because I think it is a great one. Do I like to laugh at taboo subjects? Yes, I love to. Sometimes knowing someone is uncomfortable with a joke makes it even more hilarious
Other: it would depend on the situation and what the Taboo is.
Maybe, but it depends on what the "taboo" in question is and how the whole thing is portrayed.
Depends on the context and audience. I personally find very few things taboo, so I'll laugh at anything if it's funny to me. And I agree with Qui-Gon_Reborn that we as a society should lighten up and discuss things openly. But I do still restrain myself in certain situations, or around certain people.
Yes, I really find nothing offensive at all, ever.
