What exactly is "the average white American"? One who eats at Waffle House and buys a pickup?

I have a hard time answering some of the questions as a non-American. I mean, if the intention is to find out how in touch I am with the working class in general, I can ignore the word "American" in all the questions. If the intention is to find out how in touch I am with the American working class, specifically, then I have to answer differently.

Also, when it asks me if I have lived in a rural area: my family has when I grew up, but not by choice. Refugees are settled whenever the state decides to settle them. Do I then answer yes or no? Have I been friends with evangelical Christians? I have been friends with kids from devout Christian families, or as an adult with a practicing Christian, but I don't know how they compare doctrinally to American evangelicals. I mean, people are protestant here too, so I guess they're close...

I ignored the word "American" and answered no on the rural residence question. I scored 34.

My college roommate was/is an evangelical Christian and we were close for a few years, so I was able to answer yes to that question although she has been out of my life for awhile now.

Evangelical Christian is different from your average Protestant. I think in your area most Christians are Lutheran? My parents are Lutheran and definitely not evangelical.

I stopped at question 2: my Dad was a technician, no managerial position, the first 10 years of my life before starting his own business. The test is this flawed.

Hey, at least by being members of a Star Wars forum none of us are completely insulated from the 'average white American'.

According to question 22 we are all salvageable!

The question about friends who would seldom get better than Cs, even if they studied hard is trying to get at whether I attended private schools, but even the good high schools are public here. So, from high school age my social circle changed to a bubble, but not in the economic sense. Does that count, or is he only interested in the economic bubble?

I did have friends who would qualify, but that was before high school.

I answered yes regardless, and yes on the rural residence question, and this time I got 44...
