    If so where?

I live in the Twin cities, Home to the Mall Of America.

"became the second largest shopping mall in total area and largest in total store vendors in the United States when it opened. Mall of America is the most visited shopping mall in the world with more than 40 million visitors annually (or roughly eight times the population of the state of Minnesota). The Mall employs over 12,000 workers."

Also home to the Minnesota State Fair

"The largest state fair in the United States by average daily attendance"

"The area is part of a larger U.S. Census division named Minneapolis–St. Paul–Bloomington, MN-WI, the country's 16th-largest metropolitan area composed of 11 counties in Minnesota and two counties in Wisconsin with a population of 3,317,308 as of the 2010 Census. This larger area in turn is enveloped in the U.S. Census combined statistical area called Minneapolis–St. Paul–St. Cloud, MN-WI with a population of 3,615,902 people as of the 2010 Census, ranked the 13th most populous in the U.S."

    Charlotte

The metro area has over 2 million people right now; I didn't even realize that.

"Charlotte has a humid subtropical climate." LOL yeah. I'm glad they've finally stopped referring to us as "temperate."

A couple of factoids not listed in the Wikipedia link:

Because we are the 2nd largest financial center in the country after New York City, our uptown area was immediately evacuated when the planes hit the WTC on 9/11/01. There was a fear that the terrorists would hit the BofA tower next.

The US National Whitewater Center is where the Olympic kayakers train. (I know that isn't the proper name for the team.)

I've never referred to myself as a "Charlottean," that's usually for natives and I didn't move here until I was almost 30.

Yeah, it's not as though Orlando is a city of over 200,000 people and there are tens of thousands of people working for Disney World. :p

I live in a section of Los Angeles once inhabited by the (original) Karate Kid

Of course L.A. is this small town here in Southern California that you may of heard of. :p

(population is around 3.8 million these days)

    [IMG][IMG]

    Some assorted facts:

-The 405 freeway, specifically the stretch from the 101 interchange in the Valley through the Sepulveda Pass & into the Westside, is the most congested freeway in all of America! [face_flag]

-L.A. County is the most populous of all the U.S. counties, at just under 10 million (9.8) folks.

-There are 5+ active (known) earthquake faults that run through the city/county... I live directly atop of one!

-Whenever "The Big One" (although that specifically refers to a huge quake via the San Andreas fault, we can still, duh, go through a catastrophic event via other faults) does hit, this will likely happen (even it was "supposed to" happen already):

    .

-The only major U.S. city to be bisected by a mountain rage.

-The first Super Bowl was played here.

-Constantly outstanding weather/sunshine... how can you not be happy about that?
