Poll idea from Errant_Venture
I chose other, because I live in the Mid-atlantic, and we get hurricanes, just not that often.
I do not, and I never ever want to.
Nope. All we get are earthquakes.
I don't. I did spend a few months in northwestern Louisiana once, but it was from October-December.
I live near Richmond, VA and usually we just get wind and rains from hurricanes, but two years ago, Isabel kicked our butts bigtime. First time in my life I ever had to evacuate and spend the night at a shelter.
Yep; I live in Central Florida. Last year I went through Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne.
No, I do not live in a hurricane prone area. New York isn't really affected (badly) by hurricanes.
oooh I get credit for this poll! w00t.
Yeah I live in a hurricane prone area. I live in Florida, but my area doesn't get hit too often thanks to the gulf stream that typically redirects them into the Carolina's. (Jacksonville area)
I do not.
I live in Arizona, and yes, Phoenix gets hot but at least we have like, no natural disasters besides the occasional monsoons or dust storms which aren't that big of a deal at all.
Nope. I live on a major fault line, though.
I dont. Living in Ontario I am pretty safe from a hurricane. Although there are gails on the great lakes. Nothing that approaches the devastation of a small hurricane though.
I'm in Nebraska and the most water we have is either a lake or river. So no I don't. We do get our share of tornadoes though...
Yes. Well, sort of. I live in North Alabama about 300 miles from the coast. But,whenever a hurricane hits,we useally get some of the effects from it.
I do not
Yes, I currently live in one but dont get them a lot.
I don't. Thank God for that.
There is no hurricanes in Finland, so no.
No, I don't.
The only thread I have is lake effect snow and blizzards in Buffalo, NY
Used to live in Charleston, SC and Florida (Jax and Miami) and somehow always JUST missed the hurricanes. Though we did get Floyd, but it wasn't nearly as bad as they predicted. Plan to move back to Fla. next year.
I chose other because I live on the Canadian Atlantic coast and we tend to get hurricanes but not that serious.
I lived in Miami for a couple of years, but now live in Michigan.
