Do you live (or have you lived) in a hurricane prone area?

Nope, unless Minnesota has some unrecorded history of hurricane's.

 

Yes, I believe we've had hurricanes here before...not severe ones though.

 

I don't live in one now and the place I'm moving to only gets the remnants of hurricanes.

 

I live in North Carolina, so while we don't get them frequently, we do get them.

I live in coastal Virginia. We get the occasional hurricane, but rarely get the full effects because they ususally hit the Carolinas first

 

I live in Germany now. There really aren't any natural disasters that strike here. There was a flood about four years ago, but that was a rarity...

And I grew up in Los Angeles. Lived through the Northridge Eartquake in '94, which was bad. But you do get used to earthquakes and I prefer them to hurricanes.

No, I live in Ottawa, Ontario. By the time the hurricane gets here, it's just heavy rain. We do get our fair share of snowstorms in the winter, though.

I live in suburban New Orleans.

 

I used to live in Florida (Survived Hurricane Andrew) but since have moved away.

 

I live in northern Louisiana. During Katrina, we got wind and some rain. During Rita, we lost power and had minor wind damage. So, yeah, we sort of do.

 

We get them occasionally in New England, although the last one to cause major widespread damage was in the 1930s.

 

I hit other cause we get hit usually with the wind and rain but with what darthshona was sayin Isabel hit pretty hard around here. alot harder than we expected. but it could have been worse.

Nope. Live on the ocean, but all we ever get is El Nino.

 

I've lived in Puerto Rico for the last seven years. Even though we haven't had a hurricane in quite a few years, I have experienced a few tropical storm and sea stroms. I hope we don't get one this year either.

Yep. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up in Grand Isle, Louisiana (which is on the coast). I've seen many Hurricanes throughout my life and its just something I've grown up dealing with.

 

I don't, and I don't want to ... given the choice of natural distasters/weather related problems, give me freak blizzards anyday!

 

I'm completely land-locked. I'm also in a relativly tornado-free zone.

 

No, and I do not intend to move.
