Not me. My brother does, but we don't live in the same house anymore. He loves going down to the shooting range; he also taught me how to shoot. It's disconcerting how much I enjoy it...

 

It seems there aren't very many gun owners on the JCC...

Yes. My dad has a lot. As soon as I turn 21, my rifle is getting put in my name.

There's nothing wrong with owning a gun, as long as you know how to properly and safely use/handle it.

(And I only shoot paper/clay/plastic targets.)

I have several guns, but they are at my parents house. I'll eventually get my concealed weapons permit, but i'm in no rush.

I intend to own one once I get married and I have a child, if we both feel the area we live in is unsafe for her and the child. Don't give me the crap that it causes accidents in the house. Usually that happens in careless ghetto families where they leave the gun on the coffee table and forget to lock it up in a safe place, if one practices safety their is basically no way anyone will get harmed inside of the house.

I used to own a shotgun, but I don't really hunt much so I gave it to my Dad.

Now that I have 2 daughters I don't want them things in my house, no matter how well you teach your kids we all know that accidents happen, and I figured it would be rather difficult to have a gun related accident without the gun.

 

I totally believe in people being able to defend themselves, but I would NEVER have a gun around personally. I like things peaceful. I hope I never have a run in with an armed person either. PEACE FOR ALL.
