No but I have fired a gun before
Yes I own six.
The right to bear arms without a licence does not apply here in Australia.
No, nor do I see any need to own one.
Very few Finns in the cities or towns own guns, but out in the country where many people hunt it's different. It's not possible to get a license to carry concealed firearms unless you're a cop.
My dad does have a seal gun with a long wooden barrel which he inherited from his grandfather, and even some ammo to go with it, but it's just a decoration, hasn't been used since about 1920 or so.
And I wouldn't for the life of me.
I don´t own one, have handled and used a few times legally, but I never will buy one or otherwise own one. Their ownership should be as limited as possible.
no luckily my state (contry ) has very strict rules for owning weapons.
I wish I did though.
Nope, I've never fired a real gun either.
No, and I never fired or held a real gun either. I have a sword though. Although it isn't battleready.
Of course not. It's illegal here, not like you silly americans. I rememeber reading an article in the paper about a 6 year old girl who was shot in her kindergarten class by a classmate. A classmate. When a 6 year old can take a gun from his home, take it to school, and shoot a kid, you know you need better security. Or smarter people.
I'll have my concealed carry permit in a few weeks.
Why are people happy to have guns? Only thing you can do with guns is kill.
You are wrong, there is more to firearms than using them to shoot and kill things. There are gun collecters, target shooters, gunsmiths, and more. Some guns are fine, handcrafted works of art. Berreta shotguns are some of the prettiest weapons that I've ever seen. Some folks just tend to see guns as killing instruments, which from a some points of view is true. I just see some guns as more than just weapons of death. Being the son of an Army man and being a country boy, i'm just more comfortable around guns than most people.
And no - don't have a gun. Though my uncle, the retired state trooper, claims to have about 20 in his basement - he says he had got a good deal because they're a tax write-off or something like that...though I still have no idea why he would want them all.
He sounds like a collector to me.
Edit: or a deranged madman.
Not unless water guns and nerf guns count
Who needs a gun? I have a katana
No but someone else in my household does. Dad's army, so of course he's issued a gun but he can't bring it home or anything.
Haha. I have ninja stars. Way cooler than guns.
No. The notion that one is needed for the protection of the household is tragically flawed, and I don't enjoy hunting. So although I like guns and I'm a hell of a shot, I'd never dream of actually owning one.
No. Never have and never will.
