Do you own a mobile / cell phone?

Mine is always off, except when I'm expecting a phone call. Otherwise it's just for messages and emergencies. We don't have a landline, so it's more or less necessary.

 

Yeah, but it's never on, or charged for that matter. I think it ran out of battery last week.

only if I ever need one for work

or when I will drive a car someday, then I'll take one with me for emergencies

otherwise I go Anakin on them: I hate them!

 

I refuse to be one of theose people who cannot put the phone down.

Yes. I didn't want one, but my mom and dad got me one for emergencies. I leave it turned off (most of the time, I forget I have it ) I think I'm just about the only one at my college who has trouble figuring her own phone out.

Although almost everyone I know keeps telling me I should get one. Especially the ladies...hmmm....Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad investment.

So to get them back, I'm using it a lot to talk to my girlfriend, thusly running up the bills

 

I'd like to say that I don't have a cell phone, but about a month ago I was forced to get one. My parents wanted to stay in contact with me after I left my home.

I hate phones, and especially cell phones. They're annoying.

 

No. My parents don't want to buy me one. My mom has one though.

I don't own one. For me it is just a waste of a B-Day present. If I need to make a call, I can just use someone else's or a payphone.

Yup, I have a phone, it's my third, I'm almost 18 now and I got my first phone when I was about 13. Having a mobile has been really useful, and in my family, it is essential.

 

I do have a cell phone and I do use it.

However, I HATE people who abuse their cell phones!

I was sitting in church one night and the girl in front of me got a call on her cell phone. She answered it and then looked around and waved at someone, hung up and walked over to them. HELLO! Use your eyes!

Another night the senior pastor was preaching and a cellphone went off in the front row right in front of him. He stopped preaching, said "Don't you hate when that happens? It' so embarassing. Here I am preaching and you phone rings. Well, go ahead, answer it . . . I'm sure it's important."

Needless to say, cellphones haven't been ringing during service since!

Hasn't anyone heard of "vibrate"? Much less intrusive!!!!!

 

Nope. Just borrow one of my parents' when I go somewhere by myself.
