Do you read the book before you see the movie?

I remember seeing the fellowship of the ring, and i read the book in excitement before seeing the movie, and was kinda disapointed when i didnt see good ol Tom Bombadil and all of the other stuff that was cut out of the movie, in place of other stuff. The movie still rocked ass, but i never read a book before seeing its movie. It spoils the movie.

 

I'll see a movie because I read the book but I rarely read a book because I saw the movie.

 

When I can, I do. I plan to for 'Terminator3'.

Depends on the book/movie. 99% of the time if there's a film coming out I'm interested in seeing that was based on a book, I'll read the book. The only thing that really stops me is price, because if the library doesn't have a copy, it means I have to buy 'em.

 

Definitely for Star Wars. Others, not usually.
