    Extreme Hokey Pokey anyone?

You put your left hand in, you take your left hand out, you put your left hand in, oops, it's gone!

Agreed. There was a pause and Hayden just stood there while Lee spun around and slashed at him, and then Hayden held his arm out and just let Lee cut it off. The scene in ESB was way, way more convincing and surprising. Plus, Hayden's "eh" when his hand came off was rather half-hearted, and this is coming from a very staunch AOTC defender.

its a pretty common tactic for Jedi in order to end a threat quickly without taking a life, so yes, I foresee hands and arms being cut!

Does a wampa doo doo in the snow?...the answer is...YES.

I dont expect dismemberment...im paying 7 bucks to see it happen too...or whatever the ticket costs are in 2015.

i have to think that people living in the middle east probably dont think this is funny. they still hack of limbs for punishment over there.

I'm sure there'll be at least one instance of dismemberment in Episode VII. Wouldn't surprise me if it happens to one of the new Skywalker/Solo kids.

Yes but they should go all the way and have the fight end like this

The Black Knight is like the Medieval version of Anakin at the end of Revenge of the Sith :p

    To what? Evisceration :D

Maybe he will change it. I on the other hand(ouch) believe that it will stay. After all TPM was the only movie without hand loss. And even some of the Legends stuff kept it in. Star Wars needs hand loss.

J.J. Abrams is such a nostalgic fan that he will definitely throw that in somewhere.

It wouldn't shock me to see the protagonist, whoever he or she may wind up being, taking some sort of serious injury, but if that tradition is followed, I'd not expect to see it happen in Episode VII.

The main character loses a hand/arm in the second acts of both the OT and PT. I'd expect this to be true of the ST, as well.

No, of course not! The main character always loses their hand in the SECOND film of the trilogy!

Ok, so if VII doesn't have this sort of scene in it, for you it will not truly feel line a Star Wars film? I'm curious as to why dismemberment helps you identify a Star Wars film as being truly that?
