He doesn't read them, he just approves or vetos major plot points, sometimes gives direct input, and very occasionally, such as in Dark Empire or SotME, will he actually read it.
Hey, what's this? Another troll?
Lucas doesn't have time to read the books, but he approves each plot outline himself. I barely have time. It's taken me exactly 1 year to reread my old ones and catch up on the novels I haven't read yet. I won't even be starting the JA and Prequel books until next spring.
Wow, this isn't a biased poll.
Nice.SWs is tearing us apart.Real nice.
Actually, just the bashers and Canonists are.
Waitaminuit, what do EU-bashers and Canonists have to do with my question?
I think he was talking about NJO bashers. Not sure though.
I just meant that they're tearing apart SW fans in general, here at the JC at least. I was merely pointing out some scapegoats in a humorous way...
GL is like the SW god, he's omip.. omnipop..
Omipre... he knows everything...
This is what's called a loaded question.
Wow, Legolas42. You're well on your way to reaching your goal of being the best troll you can be. I guess if you're aiming for something, you should aim high.
What exactly is the definition of troll?
Ok I think, as others have said, that he just approves plot lines and that all he has time for.
I think with the original trilogy, Lucas had a vision that was unique. Now it's all about using it as a cash source for his future projects.
How is this a biased or loaded question. There are answers either way. I've been gone a few days so maybe I missed something. I also don't recognize him as a troll. Of course this is his first thread that I've seen.
Never Saw his author's name poll.
That's 'cause my other one got locked
EDIT: I knew the author's name poll would get locked. It was pretty much a mean joke, making fun of the fact that suddenly people have gone poll-happy again. It's locked, a few pages back, I think.
Legolas asks and answers his own question...
Q: What exactly is the definition of troll?
A: I knew the author's name poll would get locked. It was pretty much a mean joke, making fun of the fact that suddenly people have gone poll-happy again.
Thanks, I really didn't know what a troll was. I guess I am . And "her", not "his". I'm a girl.
I apologize about mistaking your sex.
Generally-speaking, trollish behaviour is posting something negative for the sole purpose of getting an excited response out of people. I'm sure there's any number of "definitions" for it, but that's generally the gist of it.
Thanks, I really didn't know what a troll was. I guess I am . And "her", not "his". I'm a girl."
Oops sorry. Just sustitute herses for my hises and she's for my he's and hers for my hims. You get it. Sorry, it really is hard to tell with a s/n like that.
And I ordinarily wouldn't car really at all about the trolling, but don't do it with polls. It slows down the loading speed drastically.
In the recent issue of the uk FHM there was an interview with GL, which had a q that went sumthign like this:
FHM: THere are a lot of crappy books and comics set in the star wars universe, what do u think of them.
GL. I dont read them, but i am.... aware of them.
I personally didnt like the way the question was phrased, but i believe that is GL most recent comment on the EU
I agree with Mastadge. Lucas probably just reads the main plots and says "You can do this but not this".
