In Ep 2, Yoda should NOT have fought with a sabre. For me, it spoilt things somewhat, as the green wonder leaping all over the place was too comical to be serious in the film. I would have preferred it if he had solely used force powers.

See, I do like SW, and I can come up with 'interesting' topics... :p

I agree with you - IMHO, seeing Yoda use a lightsabre has blown some of the Yoda mystic that made him so special.

That's really hit the nail on the head Az. And whilst we're here, why does Yoda have such an ornate and energetic style? Look how simple and Swift Mace's technique is... much more efficient and effective...

AND... Why does Yoda have to jump all around if a Jedi's purpose is only defense?

at first i loved it, i thought it was the only justification for the CG Yoda. while i still think it's ok i think it has removed alot of Yoda's mystic, plus if you watch it carefully he's pretty crap! he jumps around alot but never seems to make any progress! i've alway loved how mysterious Yoda is, it was like how could this little green dude be the baddest Jedi in the GFFA but now we know it's cos he can jump about a bit

I would have preferred him to use a 'force shield' or somesuch power to deflect sabre blows... that might have worked... gradually wearing Dooku down...

I just figured that he had to jump around in order to compensate for his size and lack of physical strength. He needs to move fast and be everywhere to compensate for that maybe.

Good call Az... a simple equation:

    Gandalf + White = GOD!

    LOL

Well... Gandalf does hold one of the 3 Elven rings, plus my interpretation of the book was that he was a 'Gaia God' or one of the 'first born' - if you read the bit in TTT where he explains to Aragorn,Legolas and Gimli what happened after the Balrog fight, its quite 'evangelical' for want of a better word. ;)

Cor I thought everyone loved the Yoda fight?
Whats the point of everyone saying he's the daddy if we never get to see him in action ?

Isn't attack the last recourse of a Jedi?

It spoilt it. It was comical, and I'd have twatted him like a baseball if I was Dooku. LOL. IMO of course... :p
