Oh yes. We had a swoop race, so we mixed between the podracing music from TPM and the Coruscant Speeder chase music from AOTC.

We often use Duel of the Fates when fighting Sith.

I sometimes try to come up with a tracklist to use when playing the games. Really up's the mood.

In D&D I made a disc of ambience of all sorts taken from the Neverwinter Nights game. That also is great if it applies.

Yeah, lots of music. With Star Wars I tend to play John Williams music. Not only Star Wars but Indiana Jones and Close Encounters.

With D&D, I've used many different soundtracks: SW, LOTR, Blade Runner, Baldur's Gate, Planescape : Torment... and some new age music.

For D&D, i sometimes use the new Stuff From Midnight Syndicate, for dungeon crawling, but other than that, no, i don't.

It's something that I have wanted to try, but I have not done it yet.

Maybe we should do that when we break in the new gaming room.

Currently I prefer to keep it simple with SW themes. It's suitable and less distracting than normal music. Though I have an NPC or three that hold impressive influence with the masses through music. When I introduce the first one, I'll probably have some Lacuna Coil and Evanescence in the background. Both lead singers sound similair and it'll be interesting when my players find out why some of the songs sound the way they do (in the campaign anyway).

My GM uses all kinds of music.

Each character in the game was given their own theme song.

My character's theme was the opening them of the anime Trigun, cause I was a master with my revolver.

    PC themes:
    Eat It -Wierd Al
Chop Suey! - System of a Down
Oops, I did it again - Britney Spears
Cats On Mars - Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts (Cowboy Bebop OST)
    Asuka Strikes! - Evangelion OST

    Campaign Theme:
The Cruel Angel Thesis - Evangelion OST

This next semester's theme's going to be Sakura Saku (Cherry Clossoms Blooming), the opening theme of Love Hina.

Should prove to be a crazy time. :D

    Boarderline Case rocks.

I knew something big was up when my GM started playing Rei III one night.

That was a total mind-**** session.

I don't doubt it. Anytime a GM uses the serious stuff from Evangelion, you should expect something that's going to mess with the mind.

It was the return of our arch-nemesis...who I had seriously wounded in our previous meeting.

He had it out for me. ^_^

My friends just decided what my theme will be for this semester.

    It's a dual-theme.

The first is Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku (The Wind Blows to the Future), the ending theme for Trigun.

The second is Hajimari wa Koko Kara (Since This is Only the Beginning), a song from Ep 24 of Love Hina.

Fits my chartacter's happy outlook on life and my refusal to kill people. :D

Though I had never seen Trigun when I first drew this character up and gave his background.

    Mostly Star Wars stracks.
An Imperial raid without Imperial March / Darth Vader's theme isn't a good raid.

For D&D I use various soundtracks, including Star Wars. For Star Wars RPG, I'm a purist. I have the Ultimate TPM, as well as the Trilogy Boxed set; by roommate just took AotC with him when he moved :( So I'm pretty complete.

We used to use music, but found it distracted several poeple too much. Then now we have discussed bringing it back, but we usually play at a local comic shop so we really aren't allowed to have our own music going.

    i understand...

the music often got a few of my weaker gamers off subject,,, but it helped out enough of the others and the story that we decided to keep it..

hell.. i ran a session w/o music and nearly got lynched.

they expect a musical score w/ every session now

As a side note, the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack is a great listen to, and could fit nicely as background music for any SW game.

I'll use any movie soundtrack music that has been scored. I tend to stay away from soundtracks that have more modern music, such as what was presented in A knight's tale. However, it's more for background than anything else. Although, from time to time, for really intense sessions that I've planned out ahead of time, rather than running on the fly, I'll pick several different bits of music to really set the tone.
