Discussion Do you want actors from Star Trek cast in the ST?

I just read that Zoe Saldana wants a role in the ST.

After reading the thread about the rumor of Simon Pegg being cast, I was curious what your thoughts are regarding crossover actors from Star Trek being in the ST?

This is my first post a member of the forums, so please go easy on me.

 

First off, welcome to the boards.

Secondly, I reckon this thread will either be locked or merged with one of the other "actors in the ST" threads.

Thirdly, it wouldn't bother me if any ST09 actors are cast in the SWST, provided they are not copies of the ST09 characters.

 

Cumberbatch....but then again I want him for everything.

 

Welcome to the Dark Side! I hope you'll look around the other boards here (depending on if you are a fan of the EU or not, you may also enjoy 'Lit' and of course the Saga boards and on and on - this is a VAST universe!)

It all depends on the roll and the actor - I would personally prefer the 'traditional' route of a mix of very well known 'classical' actors and relative unknowns as that seems to work best for Star Wars, but say casting George Takai (he did a brilliant villain v/o in Batman Beyond) as an alien bad guy or something might be fun.

 

Don't know but I'm reading speculation of cross overs.

Apparently that's the new thing now.

 

Zoe i think would make a kick ass Jedi.

But, she would be the only one. I wouldnt want that guy playing Kirk - he errks me to no end. And I wouldnt want Pine in it either.
