Saga Do you watch the Crawl

I don't always watch the credits but the crawl opens the movie. You have to watch it.

 

To me, it's not a proper star Wars experience if I don't see the crawl or in the very least hear the opening score.

 

I both watch and read the crawl everytime. Gotta love it!

Yep, just about everytime.

 

When doing my Star Wars marathon a couple of months ago, before TFA, I watched and readed the opening crawl of each movie. The 20th Century Fox fanfare will be missed though since it was always a good way to announce the movie before it starts.

 

Every. Single. Time. Sets the mood.

 

It's part of the movie. I'd never skip any other part of a film, why'd I skip the crawl?

 

I do. I'm the kind of person that if I miss even the first minute of a movie that's playing on TV I simply can't watch the rest. Unless obviously it's a movie I've seen a billion times already. But for first time viewings or movies I've rarely seen or haven't seen in a while, can't do it.

With the crawl, I like to watch it. Doesn't feel right to not watch it and read it. It lets your imagination play out what is happening before watching it unfold over the next few hours. Now that I think about it, I tend to have a strong emotional reaction upon reading it for some reason. We know the characters. We know who we are rooting for. And it's like your going along on the journey with them.
