Or any other Council member other then Yoda and Mace? I have an avid interest in Jedi Council memberss, so yes...I think he, and many others should have played at least a little bit larger role, while not really taking the focus away form the major characters.

That's a bit of a contradiction, isn't it? You only have 2 hours to tell a story
each time around and the locus is on Anakin and his fall.
Thank god for CW and other EU to explore those interesting characters.
Frankly, I'm disappointed that Aayla Secura isn't in the SW Lego Game.

But I think they found the right mix of making their deaths seem sympathetic
without putting their tales over Anakins.

I think the jedi on the council should have had at least a bigger part than they did, mabe a wise word there and a proverb here you know, and George shouldnt have killed Plo Koon in the movie, not because hes my favorite Jedi, but in the books it gives a couple of hints that he didn't.

 

Well, I sort of mean 2 hours in a generic sense. You only have so much time
in a film to pace the rythym of the main story. If you bring in much
more of the other Masters, you lose momentum with Anakin.

Believe me, I do know what you mean. I'd love to see Tales of the Jedi (Before
that Skywalker b*****d ruined it all) with Plo, Kit, Luminara, Ki Adi, Vos, Aayla,
etc etc.

No, one of my favorite things about Plo and the other Jedi is that we know almost nothing about them.

While I agree with the fact that having Plo Koon not speak adds an air of mystery to him, I think it would've been awesome to hear the other Council members (not just Mace, Yoda and Ki-Adi) speak a word or two.

Besides Yoda and Mace only Ki-Adi was the only one on the council that had any lines in the whole trilogy. The fact that the others never say anything stands out like a sore thumb. It would have been better if they all had at least one line... especially Plo

 

I wish Kit Fisto had some dialogue. Besides the four main Jedi ( Skywalker, Obi Wan, Yoda, and Windu ), I thought he was the best. Just watch the battle of Geonosis in AOTC. He was a beast.

 

What made me mad in ROTS is the whole thing where Kit Fisto gets killed in a few seconds it would have been reel cool to see all the Jedi die with at least some sort of fight.

He seems to be the fan favorite who doesn't really do anything important.
In the OT forum there are always the "Boba Fett: I just don't get it" threads written by younger fans and fans who prefer the PT. I guess he is to the 21st century fan what the Fett-man was to the '80s fan. Interesting, as I got the Fett thing, but don't get the Plo Koon thing.

 

Indeed, Plo Koon really IS the Boba Fett of the PT, although I'm 13, yet I love those damn Fetts.

Anyway, to answer the intial question, I'll say no. Plo was cool and all, but he didn't need a larger role.

 

His role was too big in my opinion. Maybe they'll add him in the Jabba the Hutt scene in ANH. And then he can look at the screen at the same time Boba Fett does. FANBOYGASM!

 

Plo Koon is my personal favorite jedi. I liked him in Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, and in Star Wars Obi Wan. They easily could have put him in Episode I, Because he was good friends with Master Qui Gon.
