So, something that surprised me, anyone noticed the use of the word 'hard-ass' in this issue? That's one of the few real world swears in Star Wars we can add to the list now. I know ass isn't a big bad swear but after rereading the first Darth Maul comic and Jedi vs Sith which had a few swears in them it was nice to see one again. XD

Maybe that word has a different meaning entirely in the GFFA than your hip?

Lost Stars had a bunch of Earth swears in it, like "crappy" I think. I rationalized it that they're local Jelucan profanities.

As Anton Checkov wrote, ""One must never place a loaded rifle on the stage if it isn't going to go off. It's wrong to make promises you don't mean to keep."

Bet the house that Rur is going to take control of those automated guns before the end of this arc.

Maybe one of the murder droids?

I still think Rur will be able to take over Vader's Mechanical body...

Oooh...I didn't think of that. Definitely a possibility since Vader is part "machine". Although this has kind of been done before by Cylo IV.

I liked the issue, although the story was all setup. The art was good, and I liked the reveal at the end. I got strong Catwoman vibes from Aphra this issue.

Yea, Cylo IV shut him down. I think it will be a battle of wills for control of Vader's body. Which could show some really cool inner monologue of an ancient Jedi vs a Sith deep in the dark side.

Unless Vader learned from the Cylo thing, and is able to stop Rur outright the instant he tries to take control? Would be a great show of force for Vader, especially approaching ESB and in contrast to the current events of the Vader ongoing.

Since Rur is a technopath and Vader is half machine, it would make sense for Aphra to use him to save her own skin after she discovers what the droids have done, or at least to slow him down just enough for her to escape fast.

I bet Vader has known of Aphra's survival for a while. After reading this latest issue and knowing he is still in contact with the droids I see no other way. Unless they are still even somewhat loyal to Aphra and just have been lying to Vader?

The murder droids were pretty much a gift from Aphra to Vader, so you would think that Vader wouldn't simply just let them go after he expels Aphra out of the air lock. Perhaps Vader does know Aphra survived and the droids have been giving Vader reports or at the very least Vader has been tracking the droids' location. I don't think the murder droids and Vader have been in face-to-face or hologram-to-hologram contact before the "call" at the end of issue 9 due to 000 starting the call with "Ah Master! It is such a pleasure to see you again!"

Vader says, "You have disturbed me, droids. I hope this warrants my attention." Vader's statements make me think that Vader may be receiving information from the droids, but that the "call" to Vader was outside of their orders of how to keep him informed. I'm sure this will be come clearer in this arc.

Ahhh what ugly art. Not even the presence of Vader can make me buy this one.

The only thing ugly about the art is Toov's smile...and it is glorious.

I've not bought any of the figures for about ten years, but I'll make an exception for Aphra.
