Yep. It was a top listen. There were times it was difficult to focus on the story because, well... familiar voice after familiar voice after familiar voice. :p I'm not complaining, though. Cumberbatch was awesome as Islington - oozing power, and what a thrill to get Christopher Lee in ("et cetera, et cetera, et cetera..." :p ). :D The perfect sized part for him. McAvoy carried it well (quite bit of legwork), but for me the stand outs were David Harewood as the Marquis de Carabas and Anthony Head and David Schofield as Croup and Vandemar. I'd not seen the TV series, and given what I've been told about it, and having listened to this radio adaptation, I've no particular desire to see it.

    EDIT:
I listened to all six episodes during my commute to and from work.

Wait? What? Neverwhere radio drama? With Christopher Lee? Sign me up please! Loved the book. Never seen the show though.

I must hunt this down over the weekend when I have time.

Even more set piccies (spoilers obviously)

and yeah, even if somebody in London is avoiding spoilers, there's no way anybody wasn't going to notice the Eleventh Doctor hanging below his TARDIS in Trafalgar square

And SQUEE STRAX! I wonder if this is prequel of sorts to how Strax came to be in the situation he was in at the beginning of How a Good Man goes to War?

And I want more Tennnat as well please!

Well, the TV show is okay as far as the story and the performances go (kudos to Paterson Joseph for his only performance that doesn't get on my nerves :p ), but the sets and the props look somewhat cheap. Also it doesn't help that it was shot on video but wasn't "filmised" afterwards as planned.

But hey, those kind of details shouldn't bother stalwart Doctor Who fans like us, right? :p

Is it me or does the archway in the 50th set photos look rather like the one seen in the clips from Gaiman's upcoming Cybermen episode?
Obviously it's the Tower of London, I assume the Gaimain episode wasn't filmed there

Several, but there were four other runners-up in nerdist's rankings (and Original BSG's Muffy wasn't one of them)

Forgive me if this has already been discussed (and hashed out/argued), but this was pointed out to me today and I don't know how I missed it:

From the Prequel short. Is that intentionally Rose, Mickey, and Jackie?

Which also ties in really well to this theory on Clara. Which I don't completely agree with, but I'm imagining it will be along those lines.

I doubt it. Given that the last age in the book that we see in The Bells of St. John and the last episode was 24, I'm going to presume that is our current Clara's actual age, and thus, she would likely be at least six years younger than Rose and Mickey would be now and the Clara we see in the prequel, looks to be around the same age as the kids in the screenshot.

Amazing coincidence/allusion, but an awesome one at that.

Did some math just now. So if current Clara is 24 (and that now = 2013), then Clara is 3 years younger than Rose, since Rose was 19 in 2005. The two kids are a good deal younger than young Clara.

But still. Moffat, you clever girl.

It's a black and white child who both look a bit like Rose and Mickey, with a mum who looks like Jakie Tyler there, too, from a Showrunner who loves to troll fans. Quite possibly Rose and Mickey.

That's racist. Thinking that's racist, but not that thinking that the girl looks like Rose is racist.

    (yes I was joking :) )

Something I didn't realise about Rings until someone else mentioned. The TARDIS really doesn't seem to like Clara. Refused her entry when she was in trouble, and didn't translate for her.
