Don't like the bald, but the close cropped is [face_love]

I'm presuming Guardians of the Galaxy (the movie for which she shaved her head for) has wrapped production if she's growing her hair back.

Or perhaps her scenes are all shot because it's too early for it to be done completely. You know I don't even think she needed to shave her head I think she just chose to do that for some odd reason since her character in the film is bald.

You think it's odd that an actor would shave their head to play a bald character?

Some actresses (or actors for that matter) wouldn't go as far as to do that for a role, relying instead on baldcaps or (wigs if they didn't want to dye their hair for a role),either out of vanity for some or because their agents and managers argue against 'damaging' their image; so props to Karen for taking what could be precieved by some as a risk.

Argh! you have to pay to see more than two paragraphs of the story.

    9 episodes is absolutely amazing!

While searching for news I discovered Big Finish are doing a limited edition vinyl release of their 50th anniversary story! :)

    For £99. :'(

    The money grubbing ****s.

Glad to see some episodes found, The Enemy of the World is now complete which is great.

As for Karen's lack of hair, like Natalie Portman she pulls it off well. And I refuse to call her ginger, her hair is red and not orange.

I wasn't saying its odd I was just pointing out how much Karen Gillan wanted to commit to the role of Nebula for Guardians of the Galaxy. As Juliet316 said most actors wouldn't do something like that out of being vain with there looks.

Enemy and Web are already available to buy on iTunes, though both will be available on DVD late November and early 2014 respectively.

It would be nice if the BBC actually aired some of this stuff on TV

Thing is, baldcaps aren't particularly realistic - especially if the actor's/actress's normal hair is long, like Karen's. So yeah, props to her.

It's not as simple as that from what I understand. What I heard from the usual sources was that the BBC wanted to air them but was vetoed by BBC World Wide, their sister company who handles the DVD side of things.

You'd think high-ups in the BBC could over-rule a branch like BBC World Wide. I have no interest in paying to download something I will likely watch once from software I don't use, I'd rather watch on TV through a broadcaster that I pay money for (and which owns the rights to the show anyway). Ratings for episodes not seen in over 40 years would be huge, and DVD/download sales might be higher if some people like them enough to want repeated viewings.

Plus it'd be a nice addition to the 50th Anniversary programming.

I'm guessing you're not a huge Classic Who fan. I've waited decades to see The Web of Fear, I don't mind supporting it by buying a download, even knowing that I'll eventually buy the DVD later on. For me this is a much bigger deal than the NuWho anniversary special.

I'll probably be getting an iTunes account to buy these then. I'm going through all of ClassicWho, and it'll be great to be able to add these to my watchlist.

Currently on the Time Meddler btw

I use a PC, itunes is crapware on PC. Not quite as bad as RealPlayer, but getting there. I'll not be paying to download anything from itunes unless I get one of my old Macs down from the attic!

It does piss me off a bit that license fee payers are expected to pay twice or three times for the same product. Our parents/grandparents paid for those shows - they should bloody well belong to the people, if you ask me.

I'll be buying the DVDs, but not paying to stream or download a ****ing file. Something tells me I probably won't have to. *Coughing fit*

I'm not British, so besides buying the DVD's I haven't contributed anything to the show.

This in some small way I hope will enable them to find more old episodes.

    Only 97 episodes to go!

So I was watching the last episode of Sherlock today when I saw this

"That looks familiar" I thought to myself, so I looked through my Who archive and came up with this screenshot from Boom Town

And then I saw that the picture I took looks remarkably like the shot from Sherlock

I thought it was kinda cool
