I don't think any of you have posted this, I apologise if it is the case. A friend of mine just posted this on Facebook, (so apologies also for the French subtitles) me thinks that I need to watch it more than once.....

If you're talking about Phil Morris, no he's not a BBC employee. He runs Television International Enterprises Archives Ltd, and is supposedly the foremost lost episode hunter in the world. The BBC hold the intellectual copyright on the material, but the actual physical film itself they have no right to whatsoever. Whoever owns, say, episode 4 of The Tenth Planet, can give it back to the Beeb, or they can sell it to a collector for X amount of money. The BBC don't want to set a precedent for handing money over for their own intellectual property but they do want it back, hence the bizarre levels of secrecy. Negotiations supposedly have been very complicated and drawn out.

That is False Marvin. True Marvin is the one represented in my icon. :)

So the false film with Peter Cushing is just a remake of the second part of the first series, I'm even more disappointed with that film now....

Peter Cushing is the only real Doctor. Everything else is the pretender to the throne.

    i) Somehow Matt's coat looks even BETTER than usual in that first pic.
ii) That's a very aggressive pose from Hurt (also in the first pic).
iii) Hurt's Doctor didn't have his sonic screwdriver confiscated, then! :p

Whilst Matt's coat is ok, it's clearly not a patch on Tennant's coat. Tennant's coat has had more traditional linings put in, and is capable of a much better range of fluttering in the wind. I've had the privilege of seeing Tennant's coat on other people and it is exceptional. If I were to see Matt's coat on anyone else, I'd be surprised if it was anywhere near as good

Credit name =/= real character name in this franchise, as I think you're aware.

Unless you think this delightful old chap on the left is actually some guy named The Portreeve.

The Tenth Planet is being released next week with an animated version of the all important missing final part. I think it's a disgrace that it's not being shown for free.

Radio Times posted an article saying roughly the same thing, that the newly found episodes should be free to view or should at least be diffused on the telly at least once, especially seen the context of this year.

The radio times website is not a BBC website. And I was being sarcastic.

It's not free if you pay the broadcaster a subscription. Just like BT Sport isn't free despite what the adverts say.

I think animation for missing parts is a good way to go, much better than just using still images and sound.

    I like Hurt's look.
And the images still manage to give very little away about the plot.

I believe Eccelston was credited as "Doctor Who" but Tennant had it changed to "The Doctor".

So it appears that the Tenth Doctor episodes that go along with the Tenth Doctor Revisited Special will be The Stolen Earth/Journey's End.

And even Tennant was credited as Doctor Who in The Christmas Invasion. It was from New Earth on that he was credited as The Doctor.

William Hartnell was referred to as "Doctor Who" by the evil computer in The War Machines. Now that was unfortunate.

I just think that was an unfinished sentence :p

"Doctor Who is required. Bring him here"

I say we didn't hear the "the" at the start :p "The Doctor who is required. Bring him here"
