I'd prefer the entire series had never happened.

Now be fair, the first two series of TW had a couple of decent episodes, and Children of Earth was brilliant.

I didn't like it. So much of the the RTD era makes drives me crazy. But, looking back, I still accept that it had to be that way to get a proper foothold. Series five is the only NuWho series that didn't have me climbing the walls for large parts of its run. But... you don't become an immovable object in that Saturday night slot without certain compromises being made at the outset.

It always finds an audience, but the trick is finding the audience required to make it a success as far as the BBC are concerned. Sure, the BBC love the current product, but there's no way they would've started out with it. A different show runner may have given us a better show, but I don't think it would've gained the traction RTD's version managed if it were (as I'm guessing "better" is defined as here) any less compromising.

The second one creeps me out more than the first, so I guess it must be better. :p

The Doctor and Amy reunite on an airplane (with Draco Malfoy in between them).

    From Karen Gilian's Twitter:

And Tom Felton's (Draco Malfoy) Twitter account:

I wonder if airlines put celebs together in (what I suppose must be) first class? Or if that was coincidence. Cool, though.

Given his performance in HP (the films not the sauce) no thanks, although there have been worse performances on DW, for example them two blasted kids...

Yeah. I'd like to see him play a good guy, though... something very different from Draco.

Actually Tom Felton was the best among the child (later teenager) actors in HP.

He got better towards the end as they all did, but I never found him very convincing. Better than the twins though. Ron was the one I thought was the best out of the kids. Luna Lovegood too but she was older.

I've got this mental picture of Jeff Fahey walking out of the cockpit and, upon seeing Karen, Tom, and Matt, saying, "We're not going to Guam, are we?"

Please let this be a gritty Doctor Who War novel and allow them to take some risks that the show won't. It's the perfect story for it.

So far all we know about this novel is from a DWM description as seen in the link:

Though I may or may not get this, I also hope it to be a story with a larger sense of gravitas. War Doctor was built up to be this extremely jaded, tired and weary individual who has done so many horrible things in his time. Hoping that this novel and other future projects with him will let us see that.

I normally don't get the Doctor Who novels but I might take a look at that when it comes out.
