Yeah, my son (who's 11) saw that bit and said "she's just saying that so the Cybermen will leave her alone, that's all it will be"

He's already becoming a trailer cynic.

I thought about that sometime after I posted the above.

Who knows? Perhaps the Doctor goes bad and that's why Clara keeps the TARDIS key from him. :p

Knowing Moffat, that's probably the case.

Edit: Anybody notice that the background and lighting in the part of the trailer where Clara is keeping the key from the doctor is similar to when Clara and Eleven ended up in the Doctor's timestream in last series' finale?

Yup, and this is the internet's theory:

    1. The Doctor's timestream is from The Name of the Doctor.
    2. The Valeyard was referenced in that episode.
    3. Missy = The Valeyard... or The Rani. :p

    4. The Doctor is the Master (yes, I've actually seen that theory floated around)

Sean Pertwee apparently dressed up as his dad for Halloween:

Dang, looks like Jon never left. As much as it would be nice for him to do, I like that Sean has decline taking up his dad's old role, out of respect for the man.

I cannot wait to see Capaldi shopped into AAISAT.

I loved Matt there, if they switch him out for P-Cap I won't be upset one bit.

Yeah, I've heard a rumor a while back that stated that they'll air An Adventure in Space & Time every year on November 23, and they'll switch out the actor that appears at the end depending on who is currently The Doctor. Which means that if this is true, this year's showing will have it be Peter Capaldi.

Is this true? I certainly wouldn't mind it either. Heck the symbolism should be even cooler considering that "Hartnell" will be locking eyes with a guy who is also the same age; a guy who has watched the show from the very beginning.

I'm pretty sure that's what Gatiss was saying back when it came out. I just hope he wears one of his good shirt-jacket combos.

So is nobody as hyped for the finale as I am after last week's trailer, or are we all trailer cynics now? :p

Well, whatever happens today, it's bound to be better than magic firefly forests almost instantly erupting to defend the Earth from solar flares.

I remember when a bad episode of Doctor Who used to JUST be a bad episode, easily dismissed, instead of something so ridiculously terribad that it actually harmed the integrity of the universe. Good times!

And better than the Doctor getting into an adolescent pissing contest with a green-clad mythical figure with an awkward laugh.

It actually wasn't bad per se, but it was the weakest episode (for me personally) of the season, at least until the last episode. And it was the Doctor acting like a general numskull that killed it for me (Clara was great, though).

Everybody's been speculating who Missy is, when they really should've been wondering who Danny Pink is.

    Proof

Um... Er... Let's just say if the spoiler photo I came across was accurate, I'm pretty sure it means Danny's not the Master.

In other news I'm gleefully looking through screencaps of A Town Called Mercy.

That was back before pseudo-adults felt an urge to constantly concoct some sort of intellectual justification for enjoying a program aimed toward children... as opposed to having the audacity to simply enjoy a bit of program aimed toward children. I'm so adult that I have to overly analyze the content's plausibility.
