Class is pretty decent. Deliciously gory and a fun cast. The Doctor even popped up being his usual doctory self.

It seems that Spotify has added even more Doctor Who audios.

The entire 4-disc UNIT Dominion is up, as it the full first Fourth Doctor Season, the full first Eight Doctor and Lucie Miller season, all 3 Stageplay adaptations, the first 2 Short Trips anthologies, 4 companion chronicles, and monthly releases up to 50.

 

No, it's not. It's a weird mix where I wouldn't show it to my kids, and nobody else seems likely to want it.

 

I wouldn't call it a weird mix, it's just a straight up YA TV show by a YA author.

But, yeah, I absolutely would not show it to small children.

 

Been listening to the BBC Radio 3 River of Music special (a sequence of 70 pieces of music each connected to a certain year) and a little while ago they played one of the Doctor Who main themes.

I can't say I'm happy that this is being made Blu-Ray exclusive except for at Barnes and Noble. And will both versions only be separate on DVD? That's annoying, as is the wait.

 

Clarification: There will be a separate DVD version, but only the Blu-Ray has both Colour and Black and White versions of the animation. Colour DVD set for mid-December.

Also, how am I only now just discovering these gems?!

 

Humh, That wasn't what I'd seen heard. Apparently it's exclusive to the BBC Store.

The First 1000 customers get limited edition art cards. The price isn't listed anywhere and I've not seen or heard about any Home media release at least in the UK.

Ah okay. I didn't see Blu Ray? The BBC site doesn't mention the home media release obviously to plug it's Store version.

 

According to Doctor Who News:

DVD release coming on 21 November. It is now confirmed that a colour version will be released on BBC Store on 31st December followed by a Special Edition Bluray, containing both the Black and White and Colour versions, from 6th February 2017.

 

Just caught up with the first four episodes of CLASS on BBC iPlayer.

Good quality stuff, high production values, good cast; my favourites being Miss Quill and Tanya.

The intro credits look like they took partial inspiration from those of the original Tomorrow People, with the hand, and star cluster.

 

The opening credits always remind of that Saga trailer for Star Wars on Sky.

The show certainly had more blood, gore and bare bums than I was expecting.

It feels like they took Torchwood and the Sarah Jan Adventures, stuck them in the blender, and Class is the result.

 

An upcoming look at the first Mr. Men mashup book, and naturally, it's freaking adorable.
