Well maybe Susan doesn't want her Grandfather to find her. He's the one that left her afterall.

If true it's sad, but keep in mind. A) Moffat himself will never tell us who, if anybody (Beyond obviously, Matt) will be involved in the 50th, until it gets close to being filmed, or if he can pull it off like he did with JLC, not reveal it until the special transmits over the air on BBC B) He pulled off a hell of a surprise by keeping JLC's appearance in Asylum of the Daleks a secret until the episode actually aired and C) as intimated in the article the actors are apparently being watched quite closely, presumably to keep leaks about the 50th plans from getting out.
It's quite possible Freema is being deliberately misleading about what her involvement is with the 50th to appease those at BBC

I'm glad I'm not reading any spoilers or even really rumors about the 50th, because I won't be suckered in by any of Moffat's lies that way :p

I wonder if BBCAmerica will begin to air classic Who eps in addition to the one hour retrospectives on each Doctor their planning on airing?

Carole Ann Ford is still alive, in her seventies, I believe. I'd really, really like to see her as Susan again and call Matt Smith "grandfather". :D

She and William Russell recently lent their voices to an audio adventure for BFP. So it's certainly still possible to have both Susan and Ian for the 50th if BBC would care to use them for it.

And yes, Susan calling Eleven 'Grandfather' would be a highly amusing moment.

Spine-tingling, rather than amusing, I think. At least to begin with.

There will be as many as they need.

Er, I mean, THIRTEEN REGENERATIONS VALEYARD STUFF THAT HAPPENED 40 YEARS AGO.

I think the "twelve regenerations" limit (yes, it's twelve regenerations - meaning thirteen incarnations of the Doctor) should definitely be referenced. I mean, obviously if the show is doing well, there's no need to stop because of a plot point from decades ago, but at the same time I don't think it should be ignored. It could be a part of the story arc for Thirteen.

Plus there's also the regenerations River gave him in "Let's Kill Hitler." It would be amusing if Matt left for a bit, and then once Thirteen started to die for what he thinks is the final time, he regenerated into Matt's Doctor again. River Song's Revenge, so to speak.

I think it would be hilarious if Fem!Doc didn't tell Jack that she was the Doctor at first, but then once Jack found out he would have WAY too much fun with it.
