I'm firmly in the Moffat=devil category, but I still acknowledge RTD disasters like Ten's horrible send off that demolished the fourth wall. Back when that episode aired, I thought it could get no worse and was praising the coming of Moffat for fresh ideas. And I'm certain that all fans bashing the Moffat-era might start saying it was the pinnacle of Doctor Who if someone worse gets the show. While I'm probably not going to watch the Clara season, the reason I stick around is in the hope Moffat will reach some kind of epiphany, make the companions and plotlines interesting, and new actors could provide some inspiration.

Bah, everyone knows it's all been downhill since Peter Bryant left.

On the subject of 12 regenerations:

It's pretty much been confirmed that Matt Smith is actually the 13th incarnation (counting Hurt and Ten's semi-regeneration in The Stolen Earth). However, we know that he has more regeneration energy. Not only is he able to give some to River, but when he is first shot by River Song in The Impossible Astronaut, he begins to regenerate, only to be shot again.

So it's pretty much already confirmed that the Doctor has more than 12 regenerations, and that The Deadly Assassin is not being taken into account.

Unless, of course, the rumours are true and Matt Smith announces he is the "final" Doctor, that he has no more regenerations. Then Moffat is ignoring his own material.

It wasn't the Doctor in TIA

Plus we don't know that he hasn't got ANY regeneration energy left, just not enough for a full regeneration. Hardly 'ignoring his own material'

In one reality, it was probably the Doctor. Though I'd love to know how the Doctor's Tesslecta body was able to replicate the regeneration light before River shot it again in the canon reality.

I think that's the least remarkable element of what the Tesselecta can do!

I would even add, we don't actually KNOW anything for sure yet.

Regarding the wooden cyberman, has anyone considered that it might just be a sculpture?

Maybe it's just an LED and a battery. ;)

The Cybermen have incorporated ancient tech in the past (The Next Doctor springs to mind, but I swear there's a BFA or a comic that has a similar story too...) maybe there are no metals or ores available.

One thing I think a lot of fans would go crazy for in the next series is the Mondas vs Cybus issue being tackled.

What does it say about me, that I see a TARDIS Tea Kettle for sale at KMart and become incredibly tempted to buy it?

So you heard about Peter Jackson potentially directing an episode?

I dunno. I think an episode with everyone walking around in some mountains for 40 minutes would be pretty good.

    But what Arawn said. No.

    40 minutes? That's just the pre-credit sequence.

Revive the serial nature and give him a 12 part, 22 minute apiece chunk to play with. Then cut 6 episodes.

He does not possess the self control to film a meager 12 part, 22 minute apiece story.

We shall see. We've been there before with the Peter Jackson/Doctor Who rumor.
