Yep. It was a top listen. There were times it was difficult to focus on the story because, well... familiar voice after familiar voice after familiar voice. I'm not complaining, though. Cumberbatch was awesome as Islington - oozing power, and what a thrill to get Christopher Lee in ("et cetera, et cetera, et cetera..." ). The perfect sized part for him. McAvoy carried it well (quite bit of legwork), but for me the stand outs were David Harewood as the Marquis de Carabas and Anthony Head and David Schofield as Croup and Vandemar. I'd not seen the TV series, and given what I've been told about it, and having listened to this radio adaptation, I've no particular desire to see it. EDIT: I listened to all six episodes during my commute to and from work.
