Yeah that thing was pretty dodgy.

I hope the new theme is better than the current one, it needs to be more like the Tennant-era theme IMO.

I thought The Next Doctor was miles better than Planet of the Dead, The Waters of Mars and the (IMO) godawful The End of Time.

It's a good episode, up to that ending. Better than Planet of the Dead and The End of Time, but not The Waters of Mars.

I'll email Moffat and get him to cancel next year's Christmas special: Lesbian Spank Inferno.

I'm hoping the new theme is more reminiscent of the early Classic Who theme than the last.

I'm almost more excited about the new theme and titles than I am about Clara. That's probably because we've already seen JLC in action, though. :p

Well I'm personally watching an episode of series 7 every day leading up to the Christmas Special.

In order of course, starting with Asylum.

Everton watch the Pandorica Opens/Big Bang. That's my vote.

I'm going to watch the eleventh hour. Once I finally manage to see End of Time. Then I'll watch the rest of series five, six, seven, and, if it takes me that long, eight. Then I'll watch the rest. Also, try to catch up with Classic Who...

I picked at random from 'Amy's Choice' and 'The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang' and was handed the former.

I figured you wouldn't like it, seeing as you didn't seem to be that fond of Series 7 so far...think you might like it more the second time around?

I've been watching series one of Torchwood this week, most of which watching for only the second time.

And given my recent week in Cardiff, a lot of the locations are very familiar!

But it's led me to question Jack's storyline. When was it decided he was immortal? I get the feeling that his first appearance post Ecclestone was Torchwood so it wasn't announced in Who til the end of series 3. Might need to rewatch Utopia.

And visit Cardiff Bay again of course!

I did like it, though I despised one episode. But things are always reconsidered on a second viewing. But not holding up hope for the aforementioned episode.

But that all said, I'm hoping to get the Blu Rays for Christmas so don't want to spoil that.

Jack was brought back to life in Parting of the Ways by Rose/Bad Wolf and (in the UK at least. I didn't get Torchwood here on BBCA until S4 was in the middle of airing on SyFy) Torchwood aired between S2 and S3 of where Jack pretty much announced he couldn't die (at least not permanently), Ten didn't confirm the permanent immortality until Utopia.

The end of Torchwood series one is when Jack runs to meet the Doctor for the end of series 3.

And in that series, Jack said he couldn't ever die. Though it was 'touch and go' in the last episode.

So it's Torchwood that came up with the 'can't die' thing

I'm thinking I'll hold out getting Series 7 until they release a complete set. Assuming they release a complete set. They should release a complete set. Will it have both Christmas specials though, I wonder?

Have watched 'Amy's Choice' as instructed (Toby Jones so very good), but have now retreated back to much loved territory with the beautiful, beautiful, 'Vincent and The Doctor'. [face_love]

I definitely need to rewatch series 7.1 before Christmas. Sadly I didn't get through s5 or 6 before now in my rewatch. I blame watching Parade's End twice and Sherlock all again once... and s2 twice :p
