I am really enjoying the new series so I would definately be up for a Marathon
OOh I'd be in for that
On a similar topic, does anyone else remember Dr. Jay? I can't believe this is hitting me just now, but was I the only one who read it?
***Tries to think of a day when Kaitlyn and I can be away!!!***
I was talking to Justin and the idea of a Doctor Who episode theme'd night came up.
All the Dalek episodes I have:
Doctor Who: The Dalek Invasion of Earth
Doctor Who: Resurrection of the Daleks (A+ episode)
Doctor Who: Remembrance of the Daleks
All the Cybermen episodes I have:
Doctor Who: The Tomb of the Cybermen
Doctor Who: Earthshock (A++ episode)
The complete "Key to Time" season from the Tom Baker years:
Doctor Who: The Ribos Operation
Doctor Who: The Pirate Planet
Doctor Who: The Stones of Blood
Doctor Who: Androids of Tara
Doctor Who: The Armageddon Factor
Doctor Who: The Power of Kroll
If we do Daleks you can get a recording of the new eppy coming up too
Cool, yet another new DVD set for release on the same date as "The Leisure Hive".

sweet, more DVD's for Chris to get
Bay, you do know that the old stuff is NOTHING like the new show, right??? It's awful!!! Bad acting, stupid monsters, more bad acting.... Do you know what you are in for asking for a marathon??
Nothing is wrong with cardboard sets and paper mache aliens!
Its called "quaint".
After last nights Dalek episode, it's settled. We are having a Dalek vs Doctor Who marathon.
Anyone else see last nights? The Doctor snapped when he realized he was face to face with his biggest foe.
No Deb, I can't honestly say that I know the difference becuase I have only seen a couple of the newer shows, but they can't be that bad...can they?
Lets just say the budgets were cheap.
The aliens were at times almost laughable to look at.
The stories, however, were almost always good.
BAH! I was at a rehersal that ran til Bloody 7:30pm on Tuesday. I got home at 8:15pm (record time actually) and missed the beginning of Dr. Who.
I asked my friend Emilie to tape it for me (since she's borrowing my tape of all the other episodes) yet she forgot completely.
Anyone have a file of the Episode?
I do...and if you trust Torrents...I can help you out there
Yes Bay, it can be worse than your worst nightmare!!!
Bad acting, stupid monsters, fake sets, did I say bad acting already..... The stories may be ok, but it's hard to get past all the other stuff.
The new show is actually watchable and entertaining. Can't say the same for the old stuff. I know there are a lot of fans, so to each their own. Again, it's no 24.
Would it be better had Keifer been in teh old shows
Ha ha ha Justin!!!!
Would have helped though!!!!!!!!!!
Well then when ever you see a paper mache alien imagine "it could be keifer under that makeup!"
LOL!! And that helps me how?? I still don't get to see his face!!!
But you can imagine!
Well we watched the first Doctor and a run in with the Daleks...oh how great teh 60s Sci-Fi thrillers were.... some great laughs there
Probably one of the reasons a lot of shows/movies are being redone these days is because they can now make aliens that LOOK like aliens, and the special effects are so much better now (mostly thanks to ILM....)
Then again, when you think of the budgets and technology those old shows had, it's amazing what they were able to do.
