My first soundtrack was "Ghostbusters II". I remember being disappointed because it didn't have the Ray Park, Jr. Ghostbusters song in it. :)

Anyone who hasn't heard the soundtrack to "Titus" should go out and get it as soon as possible.

I have Titus on DVD, the music is very cool.

I love Ryuichi Sakamoto, now i'm really into the "Little Buddha" and "Merry Christmas, Mr.Lawrence" soundtrax. Also Michael Nyman's score for "Wonderland."

I recently received the Star Trek: Insurrection CD in the mail.... for free! Not bad at all, but I prefer Jerry Goldsmith's other Star Trek scores and James Horner's Wrath of Khan score.

And today, I got The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night.

    Well:

    Lion King
    Star Wars Episode I
    LORD OF THE RINGS

I think that's all, though I have a few from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack floating around my computer, along wtih Hymn to the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan and the song from Glory. But really, I've never been big on soundtracks I guess, but LOTR might change that...

How come you got it for free?

It was an offer that bright sith told me about. All you had to do was email the record company (I think it was GNP Crescendo or something like that) asking for their catalog and that you wanted the free Insurrection CD. I got it just about two or three weeks after I sent the email. Pretty cool.

Since my last post, I've gotten the following soundtracks:

    American Journey (John Williams)
    Hook (John Williams)
    Home Alone (John Williams)
The Godfather Part II (Nino Rota, Carmine Coppola)

Picked up Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones on April 23rd. I got the one with the poster art cover and the Target bonus track. I've only listened to two tracks of it (want to save the rest of the music for the movie), but what tracks they are!

"Love Theme from Star Wars: Episode II" is simply amazing. Yes, there are similarities to other Williams cues, but the power of the piece is all its own. "On The Conveyor Belt", the bonus track, is a fun little piece that starts out ominous, turns playful, and then goes out with a very nice action-packed finale.

The entire soundtrack is one of the best I've heard. I enjoy the Zam The Assassin and The Chase Through Coruscant almost as much as the Love Theme. Overall it rivals the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack.

I'm a big fan of soundtracks too.

    Favorites:

Chaplin (one of the all time best)
    Dances With Wolves
    SW
    ET
    IJ
    Shadowlands
    Shawshank Redemption
Hamlet (another one of the all time best)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I listen to soundtracks almost exclusively.

Just picked up Final Fantasy N Generation - Official Best Collection, a compilation CD of the music from the first six games. Anyone else a fan of Nobuo Uematsu's music for these games?
