More than likely. I mean, it couldn't really be for profit? The game developer will no doubt make money off it (if sold) but at the same time just release more DLC or milk the original release with deluxe packages. Although, it may just be advertising. Even if the cabin doesn't sell, the fact that we're here discussing it proves that part of the advertising for the game in a funny sort of way is taking care of itself. If they don't sell it they should just use it as a small development studio. How cosy does it look?

 

This is kind of like Dead Island meets Mirror's Edge, eh? I'll probably just wait for the $15 Xbox gold sale.

 

I have heard it described as Dead Island meets Assassin's Creed, since there is apparently parkour.

 

I referenced Mirror's Edge because it was a first person parkour game, which is what this game looks like...with zombies.

 

I am not familiar with Mirror's Edge, I was just going by what I what I had heard about Dying Light.

 

And Ubisoft style tower climbing.

 

Yeah, something like that, but I wouldn't really know, since I have still hardly played the original, let alone any of the sequels.

 

The game came out several years ago (maybe around the time of Assassin's Creed 2?). It received generally positive reviews and boasted a strong marketing campaign, as I recall. I had no idea that it had vanished into obscurity.

Apparently there's going to be a reboot for the new console generation.

 

Mirror's Edge was released in 2008.

 

I have heard the name Mirror's Edge before, I have just never bothered to look into it.

 

I think I avoided it because it was a short game. But I don't really remember.
