Does anyone know who that Jedi is in the Jedi Temple

My fellow SW fans...I was watching AOTC last night and I noticed someting. When OB1 is walking to Yoda and the younglings to ask about the missing planet Kamino, there is a huge statue of a Jedi in the hallway. Does anyone know who this Jedi is or was? Is he some old school super Jedi master? Any ideas?? THX guys

 

Nothing official has been said about it, it does look kinda like Jocasta Nu though

 

Is this the one who is levitating a ball, like Anakin does while Padme is packing?

I like to think that he is one of the very first Jedi to discover and learn to manipulate the Force, who set up the Jedi Order and it's philosophy to watch over the galaxy and to maintain peace and justice.

 

The statue is the one levitating the ball..never noticed it before but I'm at the point where I'm looking at all the backrounds to get more info...you know how GL is with his hidden secrets...

 

Talking of that, I asked Jocasta Nu on the "Ask the JC" part of SW.com about it.....hasn't been answered though.

LOL only us fanboys would want to know about this kind of detail.....still cool to find it out though

That's a very impressive statue.
Anybody with a statue like that has to be important to the history of the Jedi.

 

That looks like Anakin.
Same clothes.
What if they built that for him because he is the chosen one?

Yeah, that's Aayla. She's coming down the steps just as Obi-Wan is crossing the hall.

Maybe it's just some generic Jedi dude, like Jedi Doe?

I sometimes wonder about the layout of the Temple, and what the living arrangments are like.

It certainly is Aayla Secura going down the stairs...She's a pretty down Jedi from what the comics say...I also heard that one of the statues in the Jedi Tekple is GL...Any thoughts??

Look, why does it look like Anakin? Jedi wear basicly the same robes, apart from the fact that the robes on this Jedi are a lot longer than Anakins, these go down to his feet (much like Old Ben's in ANH). Also, that Jedi looks to have a mohawk hairstyle. Last time I checked, Anakin doesn't have a mohawk.

So tell me, can you name one thing about that staue that makes it look like Anakin, that can't be compared to any other Jedi? I don't think so.

 

DarthRaydar, I believe the statue you are referring to is one of the busts in the Jedi Archives.

And flannel doesn't fold like the statue's clothing is.

I wonder if that orb is connected to the rest of the statue of if it is on some kind of small repulsor-lift...

 

You're arguing seems to bother some people, Guff. Let it go. He meant the clothing, I believe. Besides, why would you want to bother someone about their own opinion about something? Just because YOU don't think it looks like Anakin doesn't mean they don't. Let it go, dude. You'll become unwelcome really quickly otherwise.

 

I'd say that the statue is a Jedi from the ancient times and is probably widely respected.

 

Hmmmm ... my opinon on this is that it would have to be a VERY important part of Jedi History like the VERY FIRST JEDI. But hey, we neva know unless we are Lucas.
