JCC Does Bill Cosby get a pass?

"Racial Inequity"?

I could buy that if this were just some random Joe Schmo....but we're talking BILL COSBY, who was at the height of his career one of the most respected black Americans around, routinely dubbed "America's Dad" and so known for being a spokesman for higher education among low income and minority communities that he was routinely lauded with honorary titles and guest speaker posts by a number of universities.

"Racial Inequity", to me at least, simply doesn't fly.

 

Simple answer; no.

Race and celebrity status should not be a factor in any situation, he should receive the same punishment that anyone similarly guilty would receive.

 

If in doubt, play the race card?

 

Or. . . as is increasing more popular - play the I am not responsible for my actions card.

 

It seems we now have an official answer: No.

Bill Cosby was found guilty today on three counts of second-degree aggravated indecent assault.

 

Just barely ninja'd.

 

He'll appeal until the day he dies, I'm guessing.

 

I think he had to use the drugs because he doesn't appeal.

 

I just have this image of the writing staff from SVU hearing this news and feeling really good, because now they have their story for this fall's season premiere.

 

Oh man, this is justice.

The legend. The "clean man". Never cussing, never swearing. Setting the example. Berating filthy-mouthed comedians. Taken in custody, uttering his famous last words. "You ***hole!"

 

Doesn't he get a pass if he only vaguely remembers doing it and comes out via Twitter as a homosexual?

CNN says 3-10. What does that mean?

 

If it were up to me, he would have received ten years. To my mind, it's less than he deserves, but he's eighty-one years of age. He's a convicted sex offender. He ought to be a convicted rapist, of course, but we'll see if more convictions come his way during his sentence.
