ST Does Kylo Ren know Poe Dameron?

Since I've heard that Leia was a surrogate to Poe from a young age it made me wonder does Ben Solo know he's confronting a former brother type? I ask because from a GA perspective it doesn't seem like Kylo knows Poe at all and is surprised they have the resistance best pilot. Or is it just Kylo trying to keep his identity secret?

 

I wonder too...seems like Ben would definitely know Poe. Maybe Ben's comment about having the resistance's best pilot had a tinge of jealousy to it, like maybe Leia praised Poe's skills over his one too many times. Maybe in Ep. 8 we will find out more about their history, as well as exactly how long Ben has been away from the good guys.

 

I don't know about Leia being surrogate to Poe but from the movie we learned that Ben went with Luke at a youngish age. Probably younger than Anakin, to start his training. Remember Yoda did not want to train Luke as being too old. So we can assume Luke started training Ben from a younger age. So even if Ben knew about Poe I don't believe he would "know" him personally.

Again I only go by what the movie shows.

As an interesting side note, we saw no evidence that Ben/Kylo even knows how to pilot a ship. He may not even be a pilot though I pretty much doubt it, as most Jedi we've seen have piloted their own ships.
