Does Luke call Leia MOM

I was watching ESB today and the part at the end where the falcon is on the run in bespin i noticed that when leia gives luke a kiss and says i'll be back, luke sounds like he calls her mom as she walks away. Anyone else notice this?

It is at the begining of scene 48

 

Check the subtitles.

 

I doubt it. I think he does mutter something. It could be that he's just in agony. I have to check the scene again.

 

it isnt in the subtitles but watch his mouth and listen. I am 100% sure he says mom

 

I noticed it too, although I don't think he says "mom." But he does keep talking as she walks away. It's weird. Kinda creepy.

 

If he does call her mom, Freud will be happy...

 

I hope not...that family is messed up enough as it is @_@

This is a long shot, but it maybe a mistake, like the Carrie line in ANH. Warwick davis explains in the Empire of Dreams Doc, that carrie fisher was very motherly on the set, perhaps in person Carrie is like that with people she gets to know. So perhaps Mark instinctively called her Mom or it was a running joke on the set to call her Mom and it was accidently kept in the film.

 

I've heard that the Carrie line isn't really real...of course, I haven't listen for it, but apparently he isn't actually saying "Carrie", but "Where is she" (or something like that...it's been awhile since I read this book on Urban Legends)
