Senate Does the cost of living dictate minimum wage more then states

    For example San Francisco raised the minimum to ten dollars an hour. A report from a sub shop worker stated that even at that rate they still need two jobs to make ends meet. In other words with high rents ten dollars doesn't cut it. So a business has to pay high or else no one will work for them.
    Now of course you also get the one business owner with a small shop that says that will kill his bottom line. He pays all his people minimum wage. But you have to ask yourself, is he being stingy or is it that bad?

    But does the sub shop worker need two jobs to make ends meat?

    Dammit, we've been going about this all wrong. There's not a lack of jobs- the ones available just suck!
