Does the EU cheapen the films?

    EU cheapens the films?!?!
    Are you seriously telling me that I paid full price for the OT DVDs when theyd be cheaper with the EU? Grr, damn you Lucasfilm.

    the books do not cheapen the EU, maybe some of the prequels.. but thats it (also the prequel movies also cheapen the classics and EU)

    I don't think that the eu cheapens the films. The eu supports the films for the most part. I think that if you read cloak of deception and shadow hunter then watch episode 1 the movie is a bit cooler. I also feel the same way about shadows of the empire enhancing rotj.
