Hawaii Dole Theatres: Projection/Sound questions

    I've heard some people locally swearin' up and down that Dole Cannery has more advantages than just the THX-capability. They say there's something funky about the projection itself at Ward. Something about either the intensity of the projection light or the resolution.

    Also, I've heard that, though there are THX-certified speakers at Dole, they aren't in each theatre. So it's possible that if you go to theatre 8, for example, you won't have a THX experience, but if you go to 11, you will.

    Has anyone heard anything about this?

    Well, I believe I've sat in all their theaters and I do believe the THX banner/sound appear on all of them. You'd hafta email the theaters and ask. sowwy, I don't have the time right now.
