ST Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux) in the ST

This is the tweet in question. I think nepotism might have given him a serious leg up (i.e. allowing him to start a few rungs up on the food chain), but I don't think it's what saw him become the leader of the FO. I'm pretty that was Hux Sr's hardcore training regime and Hux's own laser-focused ambition and craving for power.

 

I think nepotism is almost certainly true - I'm unconvinced that it's soley because of Brendol Hux.

 

Hux seems like the public face of the FO, but I'm thinking that more senior FO officers are either on their capital world or on Snoke's flagship.

 

Hopefully they play Hux vs Poe a little more. Both are the public faces of their chosen sides.

 

Quite possibly! It just struck me as curious, given that it seems to very much diminish any individual qualities Hux might have, in favour of the nepotism suggestion. Although, him having more of a personal relationship with Snoke might explain why he seems willing to show anger towards him, and even speak back without fear of punishment or censure. You certainly wouldn't have seen Tarkin speak to The Emperor that way...

 

Hux blew up an entire star system after only running it by Snoke. I'm guessing that indicates he's not reporting to other FO flunkies.

 

Snoke acted like he was letting a kid open an early present on Christmas Eve.

 

I'm surprised no one here in the US has made a mock "Vote Snoke/Hux 2016" meme yet.

Hux is a cool character and played by a good actor if i don't see Hux in VIII i will get mad

 

I think Snoke was so interested in especially Armitage Hux because he is weak-willed, as described in Life debt, and therefore easy to manipulate/control.

 

I bet the climax of VIII is Snoke tries to steal Hux's soul, but Hux is all like "Ha! Can't you see my hair color and appearance? I have no soul you fool!"

 

Hope to see Hux confront one of the good guys this time around. Also that he keeps his long coat. And wears it sleeveless, like a cape.

 

I want to see Hux vs Laura Dern. Both ruthless commanders but on opposing sides. And Poe caught in the middle.

 

If Hux is the First Order's highest ranking General, I wonder who is their highest ranking Admiral.
