Dan, what's all this about CD keys being suspended?

 

If you've actually been to www.battle.net recently you'd notice that blizzard has suspended all accounts of wc3 players using hacks (map hacks to be specific). Note accounts = cd-keys.

I think bliz should ban the cd-keys instead of just suspending them. Make them literally pay for cheating if it's what they wish to do.

Sithy, like he said, you need a CD key to play WC3. So if Blizzard bans your CD key, the master server knows it's you, and you cannot play. They could just go out and buy another totally new game, but that's $60 for cheating.

Blizzard banned about 4,000 SC/BW CD keys permanately...wow...must've been a couple years ago. WC3 isn't totally hack proof, but Blizzard has done well neutralizing hakcs and banning CD keys.
