Yeah, totally! I hope you guys remembered to feed your chickens before heading off to the polls (I know I did)...we rednecks in "the western provinces" tend to do that, according to one comment.

It is pretty funny when you think about it. Western Canada is always getting the short end of the stick, even on the boards here. They won't even give us Westerners our own place to chat. But oh well, what can you do.

 

Ghaaa! Well at least it's a minority government, something might at least get done. I was really hoping Prozac Anne wouldn't keep her seat. I can't stand that woman.

 

Well, the best way for us in the west to HAVE a voice is for the Deputy Prime Minister of the country to have a seat in the west...

Whatever else happens, and whatever party you might or might not vote for, Anne Mclellan having a seat in Parliament is in no way a bad thing I don't think...

 

The only thing is she has no interest in what any of her constituents have to say, trust me I am one. I've been to the "town hall" meetings, she has her little photo sesions, says her little sound bite, tells everyone they're idiots and then goes back to Ottawa. I would rather someone who is at least nominally aware of what's going on in her own riding than "Deputy Prime Minister".

Someone actually said "Oh, please, not another east vs. west thread". Hmmm... If they won't give Western Canada our own social forum, what about if we started our own Western Canada social thread in Canada General? After all, Canada general is the forum we're allowed to do that in...
