Yeah. While I'm no fan of Boba Fett, I think his resurrection is all but guaranteed - but at least it can be handled a little less ridiculously.

This is just plainly wrong. Anyone with a video game console is probably vaguely aware of Starkiller as "the guy from that Star Wars video game." They would never have had any occasion to have heard of any of the other people you mentioned.

Also, a contribution of my own: Pellaeon being fat.

    Vong.

Soooooo glad they're not even remotely canon.

Redemption - I can now discount that as the end of Ulic Quel Droma's story.

Dislike for Shadows of Mindor and Redemption in the same thread? Legends is unraveling. :_|

Why do some act like certain segments of the fandom must be wholly unaware of other elements of the SW universe? This is as puzzling as how some act like liking both Trek and Wars is impossible. I revisited the Vong for the first time in many years yeah, can't say I'll miss them, either.

I don't think any of my non-EU friends know who Daala, Pellaeon, Ben, Jacen, or Jaina are. I mean, they might know the next gen characters but I know they don't know Daala or Pellaeon. Is this a list of 50 EU characters?

Heh, to each their own! I love those comics, especially the first two arcs. All I have to do is read them and I'm back to that time in my life and I'm reading the first "prequel" ever created for SW.

Every novel post VotF. Well, there were some bright spots, but there was nothing worth keeping post-TUF, except maybe Millennium Falcon and Mercy Kill and neither of those were essential. And while NJO had a few good moments, it was the beginning of a trend that only got worse with DNT onwards. Too bad I'm not sure the Del Ray staff has changed much since then so I'm not expecting much improvement.

At least TFU is gone, while at one point it seemed really important to Lucasfilm, they seemed to have lost interest before TFU 2 was even completed. Though TFU's role as "awful official story starring an overpowered character" was replaced by TCW which wasn't an improvement.

Though being rid of LotF and FotJ is almost worthy of celebration. Judt too bad we had to lose so much other stuff at the same time.

I would imagine then that it implies some familiarity on the part of the list maker with the EU in general. I mean in terms of Star Wars fans that aren't necessarily participants in the EU, so to speak.

Kyle Katarn was 15 and that sold well fewer copies than TFU, I believe.

So not sure what they were basing on.

I'm not planning on buying anything Star Wars from here on out, but one thing I'm kind of glad to see end is the universe itself. Now we have an ending, even though for most things it is incredibly open ended and unfulfilling. There's some closure in the fact that we will never see that Imperial Commando II novel now, for real this time. Or a sequel to Knight Errant, or Agent of the Empire. I wish we would have, but now all that's left to do is take them as is, no more speculation, no more hoping for a follow up. There's a certain satisfaction to it...now we know how that universe begins, and how it ends.

    Which one?

Edit: And who is Qlem Lorrn? That one's not ringing a bell at all. Even a Wookieepedia search isn't turning up anything.
