I just saw the trailer for the Doom movie and it looks pretty cool. Of course, I'm sure there will be a lot of cheese dripping off this one, but I know we're all gonna go see it. Here's a link

Its a movie based on a game where a marine goes to mars where a portal to hell has opened...of course its going to be cheese ladened. But since that game was the first game I ever played on a lan (with a co-worker in the middle of Office max while I should have been working) I have fond place in my heart for Doom. Remember Doom 64?

Oh yeah, I've played all things Doom, although only a demo of Doom 3. While Doom was great, Hexxen was my first LAN game with 2 guys that my dad worked with after office hours. He worked at a call center that included LucasArts and Sierra tech support so he got any game they released for $10. I was in PC game heaven! Unfortunately they don't make games like that anymore. The Monkey Islands, Kings Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, Freddy Pharkus, Loom, Willy Beamish, Phantasmagoria, Gabriel Knight, Shivers, Indiana Jones, Dark Forces, and I could go on and on and on. I long for games of that quality again, even if they look horrible nowadays. Thank goodness for abandonware. Well, I guess this is way off topic now, sorry.
